OVERVIEW

  • Designed to develop the core concepts and techniques for the analysis and presentation of management information, using Microsoft Excel
  • Explores the tools within Microsoft Excel to manipulate the data, and represent trends and observations via dashboards and reports
  • Provides specific data models for analysis and report presentation, including tools to expand and integrate the functionality of Excel

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this workshop participants should be able to:

  • Apply Excel basics, formatting cells, rows and columns
  • Employ basic concepts of collecting and sorting / validating data in Excel
  • Use data import functionality and connect to multiple data sources and systems
  • Create and manage pivot tables, charts and graphs in Excel
  • Use formulae and calculations within and across sheets
  • Link sheets and multiple files
  • Create dashboards and reports in Excel
  • Use Excel templates and present results
