Ayodhya Ouditt

HEAD — DESIGN STUDIO

Ayodhya Ouditt is a system designer, illustrator, writer, and art educator based in Trinidad and Tobago. Awarded a full tuition Development Needs Scholarship from the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, he earned his BFA in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Ayodhya has written on science and philosophy for the Trinidad Newsday, and as a copywriter at Collier Morrison Belgrave, won several ADDY awards and the Caribbean’s first Charlie Award for the creation of campaigns and animated work. In the United States, he illustrated for NPR’s science blogs as part of the Maharam STEAM Fellowship, and hosted international STEAM workshops with teachers at the Korean Gifted Summer Institute (St. John’s University, NYU), on the importance of fostering creativity in education.

Ayodhya has worked locally with 3canal, Meiling, Lilliput Theatre, and Peter Minshall and co-designed the 2015 winning Carnival King, “Ahtwajé”. He also cofounded the carnival band, Mas Rebellion. He is currently writing and illustrating a series of science fiction / fantasy graphic novels.

Ayodhya is the Curator of the Vessel Library, and Head of the Design Studio at the Caribbean Behaviour Change Network.
